On making quick patterns
You often see repeating graphic patterns in collateral backgrounds that look like they had been Generated or Rendered by CG magic. Sure, sometimes that may be the case, but other times it is the work of a crafty time-poor operator. Here I used a simple unmodified plus glyph (+) counted to 10, and copy/paste in multiples to make up a square of 1000. The rest of it is the result of vector play, like color gradients and rotate/skew. Unless you intend to tile then remember to break symmetry, as things look more creative when broken.
