What better way to test your basics than playing around with a minimalist boxy shape. If that is your assumption then assume away.

A bit earlier I photographed the Nico armchair. It was cubic, and therefore an excellent object to play with perspective choices, with nothing else getting in the way, or so I thought.

This time, we have what is literally a box with wire frame, coupled together into a boxy overarching shape, of course. I shot the side table in the basic angles, under exposed for white surfaces, and even had a reflective base for an extra feature. In the retouching department, keeping imperfections and delivering what the eye expects is another balancing act. Practice makes perfect.
