Architecture models by Lauren Chua

Architecture models have that certain realistic but surreal look about them. When Lauren asked me to photograph her portfolio of 3 projects, I jumped at it with some excitement albeit delayed due to other current shoots. With a slight sense of initial intimidation from not really knowing what I was asked to deliver, I googled architecture models photography for a bit of research and was glad for doing so. What I found was that the predominant visual motif is a black sky, white grounding, and appropriate lighting for the model of course. Excellent, because a black to white gradient background has been my main method for recent ceramics photography, so I know how to do it! Here are the results.
