Ceramics by Nicky Parras

When Nicky asked me to photograph her ceramic art I suspected that something good was going to come past my studio. But when she showed up this morning at the studios loading dock with this piece, the moment that she took it out of the box and bubble wrap, I knew straight away that this was going to be a rather good shoot. We worked the scene for about 2 hours, and got some good standards shots and a sculpture portrait.

Later I was happy to learn that Nicky's In Flight was a finalist for The 2014 Woollahra Sculpture Prize.
