Sculptures by Rainer Schlueter (1)

Revision 23 Jun 2015 -- A few newer pics to add to this set.

When taking photos of anthropomorphic abstract art, portraiture style springs to mind, also a sense of of walking into a story already in progress. Rainer's current work inspires a notion of a struggle, of a man on a journey, hanging on for dear life at times, where the big payoff is basic survival and hazy memories. He asked me if I could photograph his sculptures, to see how they come up. I did not make indications of what I was going to do, but I had a hunch that mood evoking drama was to be the order of the day, also a portrait style.
